ROOT OF THE WEEK CONTEST

Many of the words we use come from a root word. A little digging will uncover what the root word means, and can help us understand the meaning of a new or unfamiliar word. For example, the root "sub" means under/lower as in the word "submarine."

A new question will be posted each Monday.  Entries must be submitted by 1pm on Fridays, and one winner will be announced on the afternoon announcements.  Good luck!

Hint: The VOCABULARY icon on your my.ccpsnet.net dashboard might be helpful!

Only 1 entry per person per week.
